This site records visits to the homepage, feedback page, and research report, plus clicks on the report’s PDF download button so I can understand whether the research is reaching people.

Personal links

If I send you a personal report link, activity through that link can be associated with its recipient label and channel in my private dashboard. The link contains a random code, not your name or email. If someone forwards it, their activity may appear under the original label.

What gets recorded

The analytics database stores the event type, time, any personal-link code and, for report visits where available, an approximate city and country derived from the IP address at the server. It does not store the IP address, browser details or a tracking cookie. The lookup uses a database on this server, so your IP address is not sent to a location lookup service. The hosting provider may separately keep normal technical request logs.

Location can be missing or inaccurate, especially with a VPN, mobile network or company network. The location describes a network connection, not a confirmed reader. Location data by DB-IP.

Your browser’s session storage helps avoid counting repeated page loads in the same tab. Recognizable automated previews are filtered, but the filtering is imperfect. A visit is not proof that someone read the report, and a PDF click is not proof of a completed download.

The site respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. The report and PDF are available without signing in. Only the private dashboard requires a password and uses a necessary session cookie.
